Renew Your Zest for Life
March 23, 2013 – January 12, 2014
This year’s annual exhibition sets out to literally make visitors happy by offering them a mood-boosting romp through several centuries of art history. A buoyantly staged spectacle of beauty and color references works by Old Masters (Rembrandt and Rubens ), leading Biedermeier painters (Spitzweg and Waldmüller), and giants of modern art (Dubuffet, Klee, Matisse and Miro), and presents works by contemporary artists (Bernhard Antoni, Karin Antoni , Ingrid Brandstetter, Theresa Bruckner, Lucia Kellner, Rheo Martin Pedrazza, Heide Warlamis and Makis Warlamis).
Art Lifts the Spirit
Joie de vivre promotes optimism and well-being. Positive images are especially important in times of economic uncertainty and social unrest. Art that is playful and lighthearted can be an effective antidote against negative influences.
Art Makes You Strong
All of us long to experience positive feelings. Colors express emotion, and children in particular are wild about them. Take your family and friends on a magical journey through art history and put a smile on everyone’s face. Laughter is healthy. Joie de vivre is the best predictor of a strong immune system. It improves our health and helps us live longer. Renew your zest for life !
