The Unknown Universe

The annual exhibition 2015 of the Waldviertel Art Museum leads into the inconceivable dimensions of the unknown universe and mysterious formations in space.
Energy and power, matter and light, black holes. The imagination of art gives us an understanding of a world that is light-years away. A fascinating world of images that even astonishes astrophysicists.

The exhibition has been realized in collaboration with scientists from several fields of astrophysics and medical science (radiation physics, radiation biology and experimental physics).

- Texts and a talk by Dr. Bernd Mößlacher, head of research and CEO of EBG MedAustron GmbH, centre for ion beam therapy (cancer therapy) and research in Wiener Neustadt (a city located south of Vienna). The talk was given in the context of the exhibition opening, March 21, 2015, 5 p.m.
