The Museum
Art is for everyone!
When you visit the popular Waldviertel Art Museum in northern Austria, you embark on a journey of discovery into an artistic environment spread out over an area covering 14,000 sq. meters. Every year the museum presents an exciting new interactive exhibition. The museum’s unique exhibition concept is a lively addition to the art world. The curators explore themes, materials and artistic impressions that are familiar to members of the general public and attuned to their aspirations and desires.
At the Waldviertel Art Museum, art, nature, fantasy and creative impulses combine to create a holistic experience that encompasses the enigmatic atmosphere of the sculpture park, guided tours, talks, discussions, readings, baking bread in the “Makis/Miró” outdoor oven, and stimulating art workshops.
Museum activities include:
- Changing exhibitions featuring paintings, sculptures, architecture and design by artists from Austria and abroad
- Educational guided tours and art appreciation programs
- Wide range of art studio workshops
- The Kids’ Academy, offering exhibitions, workshops, seminars and events aimed at strengthening children’s creativity and personality development.
